ART PROJECTS
Sketchbook Circle

Sketchbook Circle is a year-long collaborative art project established to encourage artist educators to make time for their own personal work. For the last 4 years, I have been a member of the circle and have collaborated on sketchbooks through the post. Recently the sketchbook circle interviewed me about my art practice. 'Ethereal' Exhibition
My first solo exhibition of recent works took place in Container Coffee, Dublin in August 2019. The exhibition featured my latest alcohol ink paintings. The title of the exhibition 'Ethereal' refers to the light and airy quality of the inks and the process in which the paintings were created. Click on the photo view photos from the exhibition.
Dublin Canvas
Dublin Canvas is a project intended to bring flashes of colour and creativity to everyday objects in the City. My design was selected by Dublin City Council and in August 2019, I painted a traffic light box in Drumcondra with my painting, 'Connections'. I was Inspired by maps of the North side of Dublin and this artwork is showing the vibrancy of the North side of the city. The roads, rivers and the canals create a pattern that shows how we are connected. It was a fantastic opportunity to brighten up the city streets and engage with the local community.

Grafitti Puzzle
Graffiti Puzzle was an outdoor mural project with 5th class from D7 Educate Together Primary School at the Smithfield Art Tunnel. I worked in collaboration with Art House Collective teaching children about art materials and the importance of visual art to Dublin city, as well as emphasising the importance of using appropriate safety equipment while working with spray paint. The children were encouraged to collaborate with us and each other in creating colourful murals based on their own interests. Click on the image to view a short film documenting the process.
Urban Garden Project
My final year project and thesis at DIT focused on disused garden spaces as sites for potential in Dublin. I help picnics in disused and unlikely urban places and invited the local community to gather and join in on the discussion around vacant sites in the city.
Printmaking Graphic Studios Dublin

During my time in Graphic Studios Dublin I worked on a series of etchings inspired by The Northern Lights and Old ruins in Owey Island, Donegal where my ancestors were from.
